National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (CCO for short) is an independent not-for-profit organization formed to establish and administer a nationwide program of certification for crane operators. The purpose of the CCO is to set standards for measuring knowledge and proficiency required for the safe operation of cranes.

Course Objective

All candidates are required to pass both the written and practical examinations in order to be certified. The initial certification period is for five (5) years, after which an operator is required to re-certify. Eligibility: Meet Medical Requirements Pass Written Examination(s) - Minimum - Core and one specialty Pass Practical Examinations Candidates must pass the Practical exam within twelve months of passing the written exam. The Practical Exam is scheduled by appointment.
